As the Executive Director of Skillz on Wheelz and a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor, Ebony Skillens brings over 15 years of experience in mental health, dedicated to empowering individuals and communities to thrive emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. Her leadership reflects her passion for making mental health care accessible and culturally relevant. 

Education & Credentials
Ebony is a proud graduate of the University of Oklahoma, where she earned a Master’s degree in Human Relations with an emphasis on Organizational Development. She later returned to the University of Oklahoma to complete the requirements for Clinical Counseling. Ebony is also a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor (LPC-S) in the state of Oklahoma and is trained in trauma-focused therapy and biblical therapy.

Ebony is a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Outside of her professional roles, she enjoys mentoring aspiring counselors, creating meaningful community partnerships, and spending quality time with her family. A fun fact about Ebony: she loves rain, sleet, and snow, finding beauty and inspiration in every season's storms. 

Introduction
As the Program Coordinator to Skillz on Wheelz, Leon Skillens III, known to most as "Coach Skillz," is a Certified Case Manager II with 15 years of experience. Born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma, he is a passionate advocate for Black men's mental wellness and a dedicated family man.

Education & Credentials
Leon holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminology from Florida A&M University and a Master’s in Rehabilitation Counseling from Langston University. He is currently pursuing licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).

Personal Interests or Fun Fact
Outside of work, Leon enjoys spending time with his family, hanging out with friends, and going to the gym. He is the proud captain of the Skillens Clan, which includes his loving wife, children, and grandchildren.

Introduction
Justin is an ordained minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ and plays a pivotal role in the family-owned businesses, Amayesing Skillz and Skillz on Wheelz. He is the firstborn child of the owners and he brings a strong sense of leadership and dedication to his work.

Justin graduated from the University of Tulsa with dual business degrees, equipping him with a solid foundation in financial management and organizational leadership. His education has been instrumental in managing the operational aspects of the agency.

Justin specializes in budgeting, payroll, and financial operations. 

Professional Experience
As a key figure in Amayesing Skillz and Skillz on Wheelz, Justin is responsible for overseeing critical financial tasks that keep the agency running efficiently. His strategic approach to financial management supports the agency’s mission of community engagement and service. He is also  an ordained minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Outside of work, Justin enjoys teaching God’s Word, spending quality time with his wife Megan and their three children, and watching sports.

As a Licensed Professional Counselor, Ikia K. Young brings an eclectic mix of faith, education and life experiences to her role as Therapist.  With a heart for some of the hardest times in our lives she has a passion for helping individuals restore peace, health and safety to their everyday lives.
 

Education & Credentials 

Ikia holds three degrees. Her first is a bachelor’s in accounting from Langston University Spr. 1993. Her next degree was achieved in 2001 with an MBA from Southern Nazarene University. In 2017, after the loss of a dear friend to suicide, she was encouraged to try something that spoke to the gift that God had given her. That gift was helping others. Ikia completed her 3rd degree from the University of Oklahoma, with a master’s in human relations, also known as a Clinical Masters in Mental Health. Graduating in 2020, I achieved full licensure in April of 2023.

Professional Experience 

Ikia’s therapeutic resume includes public speaking events, therapeutic trainings at jobsites, working with women housed in a domestic violence and sex trafficking shelter, group homes and young ladies in DHS custody, TPS Elementary aged students, Teen, Women, and Grief Groups. Ikia is currently working to complete her Good Grief Workbook and class that promotes handling grief in such a way that it is not debilitating for the community.

This is the scripture I think of when I consider the oath Therapists take that says Do No Harm. I don’t want my humanness to get in the way of anything I do or say with my clients. It’s written on the clothes of humility I try to wear daily!

Outside of work Ikia enjoys all sorts of DIY things around the house. You might find her at Home Depot or Lowes. Ikia also enjoys a good audiobook, a good meal and a good movie. Ikia has a lovely dog named Bella and two adult children who make life fun and exciting"

Before joining Skillz on Wheelz Dwayne worked with a non profit community-based organization. Dwayne helped youth and their families in the shelter as the shelter counselor. Also, Dwayne worked as a Re-Entry counselor helping males from youth detention facilities with quality mental health care. Currently, Dwayne works in his private practice service alongside his wife, serving individual, families, and couples.

Introduction
Marcus R. Harper serves as a Case Manager II for Skillz on Wheelz, bringing over 30 years of experience as a career law enforcement professional. His extensive background with the Tulsa Police Department has equipped him with a deep understanding of law enforcement operations and leadership.

Marcus earned a degree in Mathematics from Jackson State University. He is also an Advanced Mental Health Response Officer and a member of the Peer 2 Peer Support Team with the Tulsa Police Department.

During his 30-year tenure with the Tulsa Police Department, Marcus attained the rank of Lieutenant and supervised units such as Diversified Crimes, Burglary, Homicide, and the Major Crimes Unit. He has served as the Chief Operations Officer at Skillz on Wheelz for the past year.

In my 18 years of dedicated experience in the IT sector, I've worn many hats and have found the most fulfillment in helping others grow and thrive, and I look forward to continuing this journey in the non-profit mental health space, where I can inspire and support those on their path to well-being.

Latrice holds a Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems from the University of Oklahoma and serves as an Advisory Board Member at the University of Oklahoma Outreach Women in Leadership Program.

As a Contract Program Manager, Latrice brings over 10 years of strong leadership and a clear vision to inspire teams and drive organizational success. She will partner with the Executive Director and the Clinical Director to strategically analyze data, identify funding opportunities, and develop long-term plans that align with the organization's goals, ensuring the program's sustained growth and success.

Latrice brings a wealth of experience to Skillz on Wheelz, with a strong background in emotional intelligence, crisis management, critical thinking, and supporting individuals in high-pressure environments. She has had the opportunity to lead teams, cultivate a culture of trust and collaboration, and work with diverse groups to drive positive results. Above all, Latrice is deeply passionate about ministry and sharing the message of Christ, offering encouragement and support to those in need. Within the North Tulsa community for over twenty years, she has led and taught numerous women's bible studies and has served in ministry as an Evangelism Counselor, 1st Vice President with the Women's Ministry, Sunday School teacher, and former Youth Director.

Besides partnering with Skills On Wheelz, E'ula is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Clinical Supervisor who owns a private group practice called The Wellness Culture Collective, LLC. She also provides Clinical Supervision to Social Workers who are in the process of obtaining Licensure. She is a member of the executive team of Youth Medical Mentorship, and is a community faculty member for the University of Oklahoma School of Social Work.  She is a professional speaker and educator who supports local and global initiatives that are founded in improving the lives of others.
